Editor Recommends: Roger Waters, Nissan Pavilion, Saturday, Sept. 23, 8 p.m.

Tickets are still available for this performance. Roger Waters, of course, is the brains and spirit behind the best of Pink Floyd, and it is his haunting, poetic lyrics that have resonated through an entire cultural dimension of modern society for the last 30 years. His is the most distinctive voice of the group’s earlier days, as well, and it still delivers. In one of the great historical events of our time, he orchestrated a performance of “The Wall” at the Pottsdammer Platz in the center of Berlin on July 21, 1990, just seven months after the Berlin Wall fell that will be remembered for eons. That performance is now available on DVD, by the way. Cyndi Lauper, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell, Sinead O’Connor, Marianne Faithfull and others also participated.
