Leave the car at home and make sure you’re wearing some comfortable shoes for the Arts on Foot Festival taking place this Saturday in downtown D.C. between 4th and 14th streets and Pennsylvania Avenue and L Street. Celebrating its 14th year, this free event combines a plethora of activities including a huge showcase of area artists, live theater, music and dance performances, opportunities for children to create their own works of art, educational workshops and a whole lot more. Don’t worry about your belly either, as over 25 of the area’s choicest restaurants, including Chef Geoff’s, Clyde’s and La Tasca, will be on hand offering up the good eats. In addition, the Cooking As Art  demonstration features chefs showing off their tricks and skills in the kitchen, with a new chef on display every 45 minutes. The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will take place rain or shine.
