Jody’s Jam of the Week: DiRoNA

DiRoNAWow. When I found out that just after Restaurant Week ended, DiRōNA week began, I couldn’t of been happier. Now there’s another reason to pass on the frozen dinners and take-out, and opt instead for the fine dining establishments of the DC area. DiRōNA stands for Distinguished Restaurants of North America, and is holding its second annual event in which restaurants across the U.S. and Canada offer up special prix fixe menu, donating a percentage of the proceeds from that menu to Share Our Strength, a nonprofit organization that fights childhood hunger. The area restaurants patcipating in this culinary event are 701 Restaurant, The Bombay Club, The Caucus Room, Oval Room Restaurant in D.C. and Tivoli Restaurant in Rossyln. You better hurry, DiRōNA week started on Monday and only goes until this Friday.
