With its tiny 2.2 square miles, and surrounded by enormous competitive options from nearby counties, the City of Falls Church would be threatening its restaurant establishments with a significant loss of business if a cigarette ban were imposed.
Longtime F.C. Activist Marge Zitzmann Dies
On Wednesday, August 15, 2007, Margaret (Marge) Zitzmann died after a long bout with cancer. Marge had been a long-time activist in the City of Falls Church.

Consultant Tells F.C.:
A long-time consultant retained by the City of Falls Church to assist in devising strategies for its city center redevelopment raised eyebrows at City Hall last week when she remarked, “The time may come soon” for the City to “take over” space planned for a town center and “develop it.”
