Traditionally, the host team for the Babe Ruth State Tournament in Virginia receives an automatic bid to the prestigious playoffs. This year, as it turns out, the 13-year-old team representing host Falls Church-Annandale did not even need the free pass to the tournament, as they swept two games from Greater Fairfax last weekend to take the District 6 Prep League title.
