The George Mason High School boys varsity tennis team repeated as Region B team champions last Saturday and will make its run at a fourth-consecutive team championship starting Friday, June 8 in Radford, Va.
On June 1, George Mason High School’s women’s tennis team advanced to the State finals in Radford, Va., clinched by an impressive (6-2, 6-1) win by senior Anna Duning (No. 2). The Mustang’s competition, the Goochland Bulldogs, proved to be formidable but the Mustangs prevailed, sweeping the Regional Finals.
After claiming the decisive third match against district rival Clarke County, the Mason High School girls varsity tennis team is still rolling in Region B competition, along with their ailing top player.
