PAL Pooches Lift Seniors’ Spirits at Goodwin House


Local dog owners and their four-legged companions have begun volunteering hand in paw with the People Animals Love group to bring furry friendship to the young-at-heart residents at the Goodwin House retirement community in Bailey’s Crossroads.

Suddenly, A Hero


Falls Church resident Jim Saulsbury suddenly found himself called on for heroic action around lunchtime this Monday. He was calmly walking beside the man-made lake on Fairview Park Drive when he heard a crash. A car had been t-boned by another and was meandering slowly toward the lake.

Longtime F.C. Resident Leo Crespi Dies at Age 91

Falls Church resident Dr. Leo Paul Crespi, a longtime Director of Research with the United States Information Agency, passed away on July 8, 2008 at the Capital Hospice Center in Arlington, Virginia. He was 91 years old.
