It was a roller coaster Bull Run District tournament for the George Mason High School varsity girls’ basketball team last week, as their march to the Region B playoffs was filled with spectacular victories as well as disappointing defeats.
The George Mason High School girls’ varsity basketball team suffered their first loss of the year on Thursday, falling on the road in a non-district match-up with AA Briar Woods High School, 45-37.

Last Saturday, braving the harsh wind, cold and rain, the George Mason High School varsity track team participated in the Scudieri Invite at West Potomac High School. Although they were short-handed due to a meet earlier in the week, the Mustangs finished with impressive times in the difficult weather.
