The George Mason High School girls varsity cross country team claimed victory at Rappahannock last week, topping teams from Rappahannock, Strasburg and Madison County. Meanwhile the boys team took second place, paced by a fourth place finish by Miles Butler.

In one of their final meets before Districts, the George Mason High School varsity track team recorded some outstanding times at the Royal Invitational at Eastern Mennonite University on Saturday. The meet also marked the triumphant return of junior Josh Jenkins to the Mustang lineup.

Hargrove Takes Third in 500 Meters at States
George C. Marshall High School senior Jacqueline Hargrove concluded her championship season with a third-place finish in the 500m at the Virginia High School League AAA meet held in Charlottesville last Friday and Saturday.
Mason Wrestlers Head to Regionals
Seven of nine George Mason High School wrestlers qualified for the Regional Tournament after strong performances at the Bull Run District Championships last Saturday. The Mustangs finished fourth overall as a team in the meet, with first place going to host Manassas Park.
