In March, in response to requests from tenants of the Vista Gardens apartment complex in the Culmore area of Bailey’s Crossroads, Fairfax County fire marshals and zoning enforcement personnel inspected more than 100 units in the decades-old, privately owned, brick, multi-family buildings.
Following the Falls Church City Council approval earlier this month of a 174-unit affordable housing project, the fate of 83 existing affordable housing units in the Winter Hill section of the City remains undetermined.
Coming to the decisive vote by the Falls Church City Council this Monday, we continue to firmly support the admittedly-somewhat-unwieldy “City Center South Apartments” affordable housing plan of the Falls Church Housing Corporation (FCHC).
