City of Falls Church Crime Report: Week of September 16-22, 2024

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, Grace Ln, between 7:00 PM on Sept 30 and 5:15 AM on Oct 1, an unknown suspect stole belongings from two of the victim’s vehicles. (Delayed report) 

Public Intoxication, Wilson Blvd, Sept 30, 5:49 PM, a male, 36, of Leesburg, was arrested for Public Intoxication. 

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, Rolling Trce, Oct 1, 1:25 AM, an unknown suspect stole a pocketknife from an unlocked vehicle. The unknown suspect is described as an adult male wearing a red baseball hat and all back clothing. 

Larceny from Building/Larceny from Motor Vehicle/Credit Card Theft, Whittier Cir, Oct 1, 1:30 AM, an unknown suspect stole tools from a garage that was accidentally left open, as well as credit cards from an unlocked vehicle inside the garage.   

Commercial Burglary, W Broad St, Oct 2, 1:25 AM, an unknown suspect entered a business through an unlocked back door and stole cash register trays. The unknown suspect is described as wearing a purple hoodie, black pants, yellow boots, and a shoulder sling bag. Investigation is ongoing. 

Possession of Schedule I or II Controlled Substance/Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia/Other Jurisdiction Warrant Service, Wilson Blvd, Oct 2, 11:30 PM, a male, 44, of Annandale, was arrested for Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia, and on an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction. 

Fraud – Credit Card, E Jefferson St, Oct 4, 12:30 PM, victim reported a fraudulent transaction was made using their credit card, which was still in their possession. 

Driving Under the Influence/Refusal to Submit Breath Test, S Washington St, Oct 4, 12:45 AM, a male, 35, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit Breath Test.  

Bomb Threat, W Broad St, Oct 5, 1:40 PM, victim reported receiving an email that stated a bomb was potentially placed inside a business. Officers responded and no explosives were located. Investigation is ongoing. 

Fraud – Unlawful Use of Payment Card Scanner Device, W Broad St, Oct 5, 3:34 PM, a card skimmer was found inside an ATM machine. Investigation is ongoing.  

Unlawful Entry, Chanel Ter, Oct 5, 7:54 PM, victim reported a known subject had attempted to forcefully enter their apartment.  

Public Intoxication, Wilson Blvd, Oct 5, 9:12 PM, a male, 62, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Public Intoxication. 

Fraud – Credit Card, Founders Ave, Oct 6, 4:36 PM, victim reported fraudulent transactions were made using their credit card, after accidentally leaving their wallet in an Uber. 

Brandishing, W Broad St, Oct 6, 11:52 PM, victim reported a known suspect brandished a knife and made threats after being told to leave a business.
