Former GOP Vice President Dick Chenery’s endorsement of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris this weekend is far more significant than many may think. Chenev was the chief alpha male badass of the W. administration and some felt that his daughter Liz’s defection to the side of truth and honor might have been a form of rebellion against dad. But this shows that not to be the case at all as dad has echoed her emphatic and unyielding determination to put “country above partisanship” when it comes to the menace to democracy that the Trump operation represents.

     Will George W. Bush become the next Republican to defect to Harris this fall? It is already well noted that no prominent GOP leader has backed Trump. His only backers, aside from the rank and file and those in the party over whom he has the intimidation factor, are elements in the national media and Russian-influenced social media networks.

     The Trump operation, as Cheney is undoubtedly aware, is purely fascist and anti-democratic at this stage. and includes the viper’s nest that produced the Project 2025 report. Of Trump, Liz Cheney states, “There’s never been an individual in our country who is as grave a threat to our democracy as Donald Trump is, and that’s the moment we’re facing.”
