City Hall and Library Closed for Power Outage

News Release: City of Falls Church Office of Communication, Tuesday, December 12, 2023

Two vehicle accidents have caused lane closures and power outages.

The first vehicle accident closed the southbound lane of N. Washington Street (Rt. 29) from Columbia Street to Great Falls Street. Traffic is being routed onto Columbia Street.

The second vehicle accident closed the eastbound lane of W. Broad St. (Rt 7) at Annandale Road. Traffic is being diverted to Annandale Road.

City Hall and the Mary Riley Styles Public Library are closed do to the power outage caused by one of the accidents. City government employees who work in those buildings are asked to stay home until further word about possible telework or power restoration. Emergency workers must report.
