Car Accident at M&T Bank Broad & Washington

Update 3:08 p.m.: Susan Finarelli, Director of Communications and Public Information Officer With the City of Falls Church, sent the News-Press the following update:

“On Thursday afternoon, an 84-year-old driver accidentally drove into the drive-through awning of the M&T Bank (133 S. Washington St.), causing the structure to collapse. The driver and passenger stayed on the scene and were transported to a hospital for non life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.”

Today around 12:30 p.m. a noisy car accident occurred at the M&T bank located at Broad and Washington. The car crashed into the drive through lane. Details aren’t clear as what caused the accident. There were 2 Individuals in the car. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries as the airbags did deploy. The bank remains open but tye ATM is closed.
