On March 22 & 23, the George Mason High School robotics team, Vae Victus, competed against 40 other schools and formed alliances to work to achieve top honors and an invitation to the World competition in Detroit at the end of April. The alliance that propelled Mason to the top was with Chantilly’s team #612 and Oakton’s Pinnacle Academy team Pumatech. The Mason team’s ranking is fifth overall in the Chesapeake District. The weekend also saw the team earn the Innovation in Control Award and recognition for their safety protocols.
