Crime Report: Fire Hydrant Hit in Latest F.C. Hit & Run

In the latest incident of a hit and run reported in the City of Falls Church crime report, a vehicle struck a fire hydrant on W. Broad Street last Friday afternoon. Police say the incident occurred between 2 and 5 p.m. on March 1.

In other crime, someone damaged the front door at Action Music and somebody damaged the door frame of a Toyota in the Roosevelt Towers parking lot.

City of Falls Church Crime Report: February 25 – March 3, 2019

Destruction of Property, 500 Roosevelt Blvd (Roosevelt Towers parking lot),
between 8:00 PM on Feb 24 and 4:30 PM on Feb 25, unknown suspect(s) damaged the door frame of a burgundy Toyota.

Narcotics Violation, 600 blk S Washington St, Feb 27, 10:15 AM, police stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. A male, 30, of Falls Church was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

Destruction of Property, 111 Park Ave (Action Music Store), between 8:15 PM on Feb 26 and 11:00 AM on Feb 27, unknown suspect(s) damaged the front door of the business. Investigation continues.

Hit and Run, 500 blk W Broad St, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Mar 1, a fire hydrant was struck by an unknown vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.

Simple Assault, 217 Gordon Rd, Mar 03, 8:37 PM, police were notified of an assault which had occurred earlier. The parties were identified, and declined to press charges.
