El Patron Wins Best Taste, The Kensington F.C. Best Menu at Fall Festival

Concern about the arrival of Hurricane Florence blew over mid-week and Saturday’s newly-minted Fall Festival went as planned with the Community Center parking lot packed to the gills. New restaurant El Patron Bar & Grill came away as the winner of the Best Taste category, with The Kensington Falls Church taking top honors for the Best Menu and Liberty Barbecue’s selection of smoked meats earning the People’s Choice award. Many other local festivals cancelled out of fear the hurricane’s could touch down locally, causing a robust crowd to flock to the City for the daily event. Some sites and scenes from the City’s dry Fall Festival can be seen below.
