Longtime Falls Church Resident Joanne O’Hara Newton Dies; Memorial Mass Set for July 31

Joanne O’Hara Newton, a longtime Falls Church resident died peacefully after a prolonged illness on June 17, 2017 at her home in Pensacola, Fla. She was 62.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Ralph, her children, Lauren Lauer and Philip Newton, her granddaughters, Annabelle, Juliette and Evelyn and a large extended O’Hara family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Bernard O’Hara and Ann Patricia O’Hara.

A Memorial Mass, celebrated by her brother Father Jack O’Hara, will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Monday, July 31 at 10 a.m.  A reception will follow the service in Monsignor Heller Hall. All are welcome to attend.
