Annual Pops For Pets Concert Set For June 25

The Fourth Annual Pops for Pets Concert benefits both the Arlington Philharmonic and the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) and takes place on Sunday, June 25 at the Lubber Run Amphitheater (200 N Columbus St., Arlington) starting at 6 p.m. The much anticipated community event invites the public to pack a picnic and bring family friends and well-behaved pups for an evening of popular music at this outdoor concert. Performances will feature patriotic-themed music, with tunes by Aaron Copland, John Williams and Strauss waltzes. The aim of the concert is to celebrate the AWLA and the Arlington Philharmonic, with Arlington County Board Chair Jay Fissette and and his dog, Cassie, co-chairing the event.
