Police are investigating after a report of several shots fired on a residential street in the City of Falls Church early Monday morning.

F.C. Police say they responded to a caller who said they heard what sounded like gunshots around 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 23 on Jackson St. in the City.  After surveying the area, police found no injuries or damage to buildings and then, later that morning in the daylight, police say a resident found five shell casings in the street.

This incident comes just days after a shot was fired through the window of a Falls Church daycare center in the Skyline area and hours after a Fairfax County Police officer was fired upon in his car during a traffic stop in Great Falls.

City of F.C. police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 703-248-5053.
