Falls Church Police Chief Mary Gavin  and her City of Fairfax counterpart Carl Pardini made a compelling case before the F.C. City Council Monday night for the renovation of the shooting range on Pickett Road in Fairfax City that F.C.’s department utilizes. The City has committed to a one-third share of the project at a cost of $1.2 million to be paid out at a taxpayer impact of a quarter-penny on the tax rate.

Chief Gavin pointed out the importance of the training facility to “inoculate officers to high stress situations.”
