National Juried Art Show Exhibits in Crystal City

“Figuratively Speaking,” a national juried art competition is the featured show at Gallery Underground, located at 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, in December. All-media artists, sculptors, and photographers have created visual works interpreting a “figurative” theme in multiple ways: thorough the human form or by exploring a broader interpretation of the theme, such as figures of speech.

This exhibition has been juried by John Morrell, chair of the Art and Art History Department at Georgetown University. In addition to a new all-media Members Show in the Main Gallery, also featured is painter Vicky Wilken, whose oils often depict scenes of her native Greece and reflections on her global travels.

The gallery’s hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, visit galleryunderground.org.
