Local Community Center Presents Identify Theft Lecture

The Langston-Brown Community & Senior Center and Park is hosting a discussion about identity theft for area residents who are age 55 and over at 2121 N. Culpeper St., Arlington on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. – noon.

Ashley Emerson, the community involvement ambassador at the Arlington Community Federal Credit Union, will discuss how how criminals can get personal information and how to minimize the risk of that happening.

Emerson will also share tips on how to avoid phishing and what to do in the case of being victimized by identity theft. For more information, call Elizabeth Poole at 703-228-6300.
