Farm Day in F.C. Set for Oct. 8

The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department has announced that it is sponsoring the 24th Annual Farm Day on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park, (312 Park Avenue). Old-fashioned fun, including horse-drawn hayrides, a petting farm, pumpkin painting, scarecrow-making, blacksmith demonstrations, cider pressing from locally grown apples, pony rides and more will be offered. Andrew Acosta and Friends will provide live music. Free tours of the 1845 Cherry Hill Farmhouse will be offered throughout the day. Admission is free, however nominal fees apply to some activities.

Food will be available for purchase from Margaret’s Soul Food and Stay Cool Ice Cream.
