Two new band teachers at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School,  Charisse Rodriguez and Kayondra Reid, put on a demonstration for fourth graders at the school on Monday, Sept. 12. The purpose of the demonstration and assembly was to demonstrate different instruments and explain how to sign up for band.

Then, on Wednesday, Sept. 14, there was an Instrument Petting Zoo in the TJ gym. Students and parents heard a brief presentation, then students had the chance to try out different instruments with help from band students at George Mason High School.
