12th Annual Run for the Schools Slated for Sept. 18

The Falls Church Education Foundation’s 12th Annual Run for the Schools 5K/1 mile is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 18 at 8 a.m. The event is organized by the Falls Church Education Foundation every year to benefit Falls Church City Public Schools and often has local, state and national government officials as participants.

Registration for the run is now open online and participants can also register in person at the Tailgate Party before George Mason High School’s football game against Sidwell Friends School. The cost of registration is $15 for those under 18 and $35 for those 18 and up.

Prizes are given for age category winners and overall winners and there will be swag bags for all who participate. Those who register for the race by Saturday, Sept. 10 are guaranteed a t-shirt.
