F.C. Residents Earn Academic Honors Across the Nation

Several Falls Church residents recently earned academic honors from colleges, universities and other academic institutions across the nation.

Daniel Anderson was named to the dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average with no grade below a C to make the list. Matthew Beer made the dean’s list at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where students must earn at least a 3.4 grade point average with no grades of D or F and no incomplete classes while carrying at least 12 credits to make the list.

Morgan Elizabeth Eldred, Matthew Gerald McManis and Amanda Michelle Meszaros were all named to the dean’s list at Longwood University, where students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to make the list.

Maeve Ponticiello and Lauren Sese made the dean’s list at Loyola University Maryland, where students must earn a 3.5 quality point average while carrying at least 15 credits to make the list.

Christian A. Rowcliffe and James A. Vaus made the dean’s list at the Virginia Military Institute, where students must earn at least a 3.0 grade point average with no grade below C to make the list.

Jacob Somer was named a commended scholar at Mercersburg Academy, where students must earn at least 85 on all of their grades to be named a commended scholar.
