Buddhist Organization Holds Introduction Meeting in F.C.

The U.S. chapter of the Soka Gakkai International, an organization that practices Nichiren Buddhism, is holding an introduction meeting at the Falls Church Community Center at 223 Little Falls Street on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The meeting is an opportunity for members of the organization to share their movement for peace with interested members of the community. The meeting will include an exhibit detailing the organization’s movement for peace and dialogue with the community in which members of the organization will talk about their practice.

Soka Gakkai International was founded in 1930 in Japan to create educational reform based on the happiness of the people. The organization, which is dedicated to peace, culture and education, now has members in 192 countries. For more information, visit sgi-usa.org.
