DMV 2 Go in F.C. Sept. 2

The Department of Motor Vehicles mobile customer service center, DMV 2 Go, will return to City Hall (300 Park Avenue) next Friday, Sept. 2, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The special event is co-hosted by the Commissioner of the Revenue and the Virginia DMV and is open to all Virginia residents. No appointments are necessary.

The handicapped-accessible, full-service office provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver’s licenses; obtaining ID cards (including photos) and Virginia’s veterans ID cards; taking road and knowledge tests; obtaining copies of driving records; obtaining vehicle titles, license plates, decals, and transcripts; ordering disabled parking placards or plates; updating an address after a move for DMV and voter registration; and more. Customers should be prepared with the required documents to complete transactions.

Remaining 2016 dates for the DMV 2 Go mobile vehicle are Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2.
