Crime Report: 2 DUI Crashes in City of Falls Church Last Week

Two drunk driving incidents resulted in two vehicle crashes in the past week according to the latest crime report from the City of Falls Church Police Department.

In one of the incidents, a 20-year-old Centerville man was arrested for driving under the influence, destruction of property and underage possession of alcohol after crashing his vehicle into a tree on Friday, July 29. His passenger, a 30 year-old Burke man was also arrested for obstruction of justice. In the second DUI, a 36-year-old Falls Church man was arrested after police investigated a motor vehicle crash on Sunday, July 31.

There were two additional DUIs listed in the crime report as well as an arrest for underage possession of alcohol and public drunkenness.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: July 25 – 31, 2016

Larceny from Building, 1000 E. Broad St. (24 Hour Fitness) On July 25, a basketball was reported stolen from a customer.

Trespass, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On July 26, a male, 39, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Residential Burglary, 900 block Lincoln Ave. On July 26, police received a report of a burglary at a residence.

Littering, 400 block W. Broad St. On July 27, a female, 24, of Woodbridge, was arrested and released on summons for Littering.

Larceny from Building, 6763 Wilson Blvd. #R1 (Planet Fitness) On July 27, an unknown suspect stole personal belongings from the women’s locker room.

Driving Under the Influence, Destruction of Property, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Obstruction of Justice, 1200 block W. Broad St. On July 29, an officer responded to the area for a report of a motor vehicle crash to a tree. The driver, a male, 20, of Centreville, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Destruction of Property, and Underage Possession of Alcohol. A male, 30, of Burke, was arrested and released on summons for Obstruction of Justice.

Larceny from Building, 1000 E. Broad St. (24 Hour Fitness) On July 29, credit cards were reported stolen from a locker.

Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On July 29, a male, 51, of Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Vandalism, 115 Hillwood Ave. #10 (Anime Pavilion) On July 29, police received a report that a bathroom had been vandalized.

Driving Under the Influence, 6600 block Wilson Blvd. On July 30, a male, 43, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence, 900 block W. Broad St. On July 31, an officer investigate a motor vehicle crash. One of the drivers, a male, 36, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence, 500 block N. Washington St. On July 31, a female, 60, of Fairfax, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Public Drunkenness and Underage Possession of Alcohol, 300 block Sycamore St. On July 31, a 16 year-old male, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness and Underage Possession of Alcohol.

Larceny from Vehicle, 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. On July 31, police received a report that various items were stolen from the victim’s vehicle.
