F.C. Residents Produce Award-Winning Sci-Fi Film

Falls Church resident Mark Byrne produced, wrote and directed the film “Subconscious Reality,” which recently won second place in the Sci-Fi Feature Category at the 2016 Indie Gather International Film Festival. His wife, Donna Byrne, acted in the film. The film was screened on Sunday, July 17 at Window 54 in Falls Church and was well-attended by the film’s cast and crew and their friends. The film is a post apocalyptic sci-fi action film about a world run by a corporate board that has eliminated the citizens and is now looking for a mole within its own ranks.The film touches on elements of George Orwell and “The Prisoner,” with a backdrop of the dangers of corporate greed and control in a world gone amok. Among the nine locations where the film shot was Art and Frame of Falls Church.
