F.C. Affordable Housing Survey Open Until August 7

The Housing and Human Services Department of the City of Falls Church is researching affordable housing needs in Falls Church City to incorporate the information into the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Any adult can take the survey.

Housing is considered affordable when the members of the household do not pay more than 30 percent of their gross monthly income for their rent or mortgage, including utilities, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Survey questions include topics such as the percentage of monthly income into rent or mortgage, the affordability of the City of Falls Church and the number of family members in the home. The survey closes at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. The survey can be taken here.
