Thomas Jefferson Library Hosts ‘Soul in Motion’ Event

Thomas Jefferson Library, located at 7415 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church, is hosting an event called Soul in Motion on Monday, July 25 at 7 p.m. The event, which is recommended for preschool age children but is suitable for children of all ages, will consist of West African drumming, song and dance.

Soul in Motion was started in 1984 by the brother-sister duo of Michael and Khandi Friend and included original members from Michael’s alma mater, Howard University, where the group had its first performance.

The 45-minute event is cosponsored by the Friends of the George Mason Regional Library. For more information, call 703-573-1060.
