Mason Soccer Player Makes Scholar All-America Team

Grant Goodwin, a 2016 graduate of George Mason High School and former soccer player on the Mustangs’ varsity boys soccer team, was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s 2015-2016 High School Scholar All-America Team. Goodwin, a midfielder on the team, carried a 3.89 grade point average while at Mason.

He was one of 35 players, selected from soccer teams that played in the fall 2015, winter 2016 and spring 2016, to be named to the High School Scholar All-America Team.

He was also named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s All-South team for the 2015-2016 year. Goodwin, a four year varsity player for the Mustangs, was also named the Virginia High School League’s 2A Player of the Year and was named to the 2A First Team.
