City of F.C. Offers Rape Aggression Defense Course

The City of Falls Church Police Department is offering a free Rape Aggression Defense program to teach women self-defense tactics and techniques. Women ages 12 and up are eligible for the course, which will be offered August 8, 9, 15 and 16 from 6 – 9 p.m.

The course will be taught by national certified Rape Aggression Defense instructors from the City of Falls Church Police Department and is a comprehensive, women-only course that addresses awareness, prevention, risk reduction, risk avoidance and the basics of hands-on self-defense training.

The Rape Aggression Defense course is not a martial arts program and there are a limited number of spaces available. Participants are required to attend all four sessions and will be notified of the location after signing up. For more information, email ksdempsey@verizon.net.
