F.C. Residents Earn Academic Honors Across the Nation

Several Falls Church residents recently earned academic honors from colleges, universities and other academic institutions across the nation.

Paige Blackford, a parks, recreation and facilities management major at Paul Smith’s College, was named to the dean’s list at the school, where students must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average to receive the distinction.

Susanna Sewall, a sophomore studying nursing at Eastern Mennonite University, was named to the dean’s list at the school, where students must earn at least a 3.75 grade point average while completing 12 semester hours of credit.

Evan John Harvey graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering. Altinay K. Karasapan, who majored in environmental policy, graduated from Colby College. Connor Kenyon graduated from Benedictine College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and was also named to the school’s dean list.

Alexander Valentino graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Laura Watson graduated from Grove City College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-K-4 elementary education and also made the dean’s list with high distinction at the school.
