Falls Church Run for Freedom 5K Raises $100,000

International Justice Mission and Aegis, a McLean-based government contractor, partnered to put on the 2016 Run 2016 Run for Freedom 5K at Trinity School at Meadow View in Falls Church on Saturday, May 14 and raised $100,000 to fight human trafficking in the process. The funds raised will go directly toward International Justice Mission’s efforts in combating human trafficking and forced labor worldwide.

Formed by a former U.S. Attorney Gary Haugen, International Justice Mission is based in Washington, D.C. and has a team of lawyers investigators, social workers and community activists who advocate for a wide range of underprivileged groups around the world. “Aegis is proud to partner with IJM to help organize and participate in raising such a substantial amount of funding – and our employees who participated had a great experience,” said Jim Winner, chief legal officer at Aegis.

“As a company that employs staff from the U.S. and abroad, addressing the global issues on which IJM focuses is in close alignment with our company’s values.” For more information, visit ijm.org.
