F.C. Students Compete in 2016 National Math Bee

Two students at Longfellow Middle School in Falls Church recently competed in the 2016 Raytheon MATHCOUNTS National Competition in Washington, D.C. Eighth graders Ben Kang, of Falls Church, and Alex Chung, of Vienna, vied for national titles at the competition, which aims at empowering middle school students to reach their full potential in mathematics.

Ben reached the semifinals and Alex was ranked 14th at the competition. The team from Virginia ranked 8th at the competition. Edward Wan of Washington was the champion of the competition and Luke Robataille of Texas was the runner-up. For more information, visit mathcounts.org.
