F.C. Teen Volunteer Orientation Slated for May 19

The City of Falls Church is hosting an orientation on Thursday, May 19 from 6 – 6:30 p.m. for those between the ages 12 – 18 who would like to volunteer at Mary Riley Styles Library this summer. The orientation is in the library’s conference room at 120 N. Virginia Avenue.

The library provides opportunities for area students to fulfill community service requirements by providing valuable services for the library. The youth services department accepts a limited number of teen volunteers year round.

Preteens and teens ages 12-13 who have a required amount of community service hours to perform during the school year can apply to volunteer. Teens ages 14-18 can apply to volunteer with or without community service requirements.

Registration and volunteer application are required. For more information, call 703-248-5034, email Jessica Borchetta, teen volunteer coordinator, at juv@fallschurchva.gov or visit fallschurchva.gov/672/Teen-Volunteers.
