Nighttime Paving at Rt. 7, Rt. 29 Intersection Begins

The Washington Street (Rt. 29/Lee Highway) nighttime paving project will start this Sunday night, May 15, and is expected to last two to three weeks, according to the City of Falls Church. The project will extend from the City’s northern boundary to Annandale Road. The City will also pave the southbound lanes of S. Maple Avenue to W. Marshall St. The City expects minimal disruption to traffic.

This project is funded by the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Primary Extensions Grant. The City’s application for grant funding for paving W. Broad Street is currently under review.
