F.C. Resident Featured in ‘Discovery Girls’ Magazine

Kiana Collins, a Falls Church resident and student at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, is being featured in the April/May issue of Discovery Girls magazine, a publication for girls ages 8 and up.

Kiana wrote about her experiences being the new student at a school several times throughout her life, as her father, Barry, works for the United States Agency for International Development a dipolmat and foreign service officer and moves to a new developing country every two – four years.

As such, Kiana has moved to Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Botswana, Hawaii and will soon be moving to El Salvador. In the time between living in Hawaii and El Salvador, Kiana and her family are living in Falls Church.
