Relay for Life of the Beltway Hosts Walk Event for Dogs

American Cancer Society and Relay for Life of the Beltway is hosting Bark for Life, a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer, on Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Lubber Run Park, located at 300 N. Park Dr., Arlington.

The event honors the caregiving qualities of canine companions and remembers those dogs/owners that have lost their life to cancer.  There will be a scavenger hunt, K-9 demonstration by the Arlington Police Department, costume contest and vendors at the event.

All dogs must be on a leash at the event. Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. and the K-9 demonstration is scheduled for 11 a.m. For more information or to register for the event, visit relayforlife.org/barkarlingtonVA or email jbdoyl2@gmail.com or katiesue.vanvalkenburg@cancer.org.
