Sixteen residents of Dranesville Small District 1A have tossed their hats in the ring by qualifying to run for seats on the McLean Community Center’s 2016-2017 Governing Board. The board sets policy and provides general oversight for all facilities and programs of the Center, located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean, including the Robert Ames Alden Theatre and the Old Firehouse Teen Center.
The adult candidates for the Governing Board are Nadia Ayoubi-Ahluwalia, Kat Kehoe, Lauren Kivlighan, Paul Kohlenberger, Shahnaz MacGuire, Jill Roth, Gerri Swarm, Vickie Trunnell and Desi Woltman.
The candidates for the Langley High School boundary are Alexander Camus, Liana Keesing, Quentin Levin and Priyanka Susarla. The candidates for the McLean High School boundary are Sam Gollob, Riya Master and Mariana Patterson.
Residents of Dranesville Small District 1A are eligible to vote during the election. Voting for Governing Board members will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the McLean Day festival at Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Road. Residents also may vote by absentee ballot from Monday, April 11 – Wednesday, May 18.
