Friends of George Mason Library Host Used Book Sale

The semiannual used book sale hosted by the George Mason Friends to benefit the George Mason Regional Library is scheduled for Thursday, April 28 – Sunday, May 1 at the Mason District Library, located at 7001 Little River Turnpike, Annandale.

There will be a vast array of high-quality books in more than 80 categories, plus music, videos and games. Proceeds from the sale benefit not only the Mason District library, but also the entire Fairfax County Public Library System. One of the projects this books sale goes to support is the Children’s Summer Reading Program.

Because the George Mason Friends typically offer as many as 80,000 titles during one sale, the group carefully categorize and organize its sales by topic for browsers’ convenience. Categories include children’s titles, young adult fiction, rare, fine and autographed and other collectible books, history and literature, drama and poetry.

Sale hours are 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 and noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. For more information, visit georgemasonfriends.blogspot.com.
