Police Investigate for Links in 2 F.C. Burglaries

The City of Falls Church police department is looking for information about two burglaries that occurred in Falls Church in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 5. A window was smashed and there was evidence of a burglary at Botanica Grocery Store at 809-A W. Broad Street and there was also evidence of a burglary at Shreve McGonegal at 212 N. West Street.

In a press release about the burglaries, police said that they are investigating the possibility that the crimes are connected. And there were two other commercial burglaries that took place over the past few days, although the police department did not mention those in the press release about the April 5 burglaries.

On Saturday, April 2 Smokey’s Garage at 1105 W. Broad Street was burglarized. According to police, Smokey’s Garage was broken into and merchandise was stolen from the store. The next day, April 3, Economy Party Supplies at 1049 W. Broad Street was broken into sometime overnight. Police say that cash was stolen from the store.
