J.E.B. Stuart Students Advance in SkillsUSA Competition

17 Education for Employment students at J.E.B. Stuart High School recently earned 25 Awards (22 Gold and three Silver) at the SkillsUSA District V Leadership & Skills Competitions held at the Edison High School Academy in Alexandria. Students from Alexandria City, Arlington County and Fairfax County Public Schools competed in over 50 career and leadership contest events.

Stuart’s Gold award winners were recognized in ten leadership contest events: extemporaneous speaking, current events, customer service, essay, extemporaneous writing, job interview, prepared speech, spelling, state t-shirt design and student of the year.

The students who earned Gold awards will advance to the SkillsUSA Virginia State Leadership & Skills Competitions in April at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center.
