Rep. Don Beyer Kicks Off Tax Seminar

U.S. REP. DON BEYER (right) was welcomed by Greg Williams, director of the Bailey’s Community Center last Friday to kick off a seminar on how to file IRS and Virginia state taxes for free. The “Free File” programs are open to anyone earning under $62,000 a year, and also to provide information on the “earned income tax credit” program that can save taxpayers up to $6,000 but 75 to 80 percent of eligible citizens miss out on.
