City of F.C. Sidewalks to Get Powerwashed Thursday, Friday

The City of Falls Church Department of Public Works has contracted Stanley T. Naudus to power wash City owned sidewalks in the north side of the 100 and 200 blocks of W. Broad Street on Thursday and Friday, March 17 and 18 beginning at 7 a.m., weather permitting.

Te contractors will work along W. Broad St. from Washington St. (Brown’s Hardware) to Little Falls (Stifel & Capra). The contractor will clean city owned sidewalks to the back of the curb and concrete aprons. They will not be cleaning up to the door of the businesses as that is not City property. They will also be cleaning the wall at the mini park by The Unity Club and power washing the trash and recycling containers in those two blocks. The contractor will go back and gently power wash any windows which may get dirty as a result of their work. The City will assist the contractor by providing a lane closure beginning at 9 a.m. to minimize any vehicles in the travel lanes getting sprayed.
