A Community Awards Reception is being held at Italian Cafe at 7161 Lee Highway on Sunday, Feb. 21 from 2 – 4 p.m. to honor two current and one former Falls Church citizen “who have made countless contributions over many years to Falls Church,” according to an email from the event organizers announcing the event.
Barb Cram, Kiernan Sharpe and Bruce Swenson will be honored at the reception. “Their selfless work to make Falls Church a better place will be recognized. Probably, their contributions will never again be equaled. The devotion and countless hours spent by these three citizens is incredible,” the email said.
Italian Cafe will provide a buffet at the event and Ryan Behrens will make name badges for attendees. Because Bruce Swenson and his family moved to Germany in December 2015, Hallene Swenson, Bruce’s mother, will accept the honor on his behalf.
