The Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation is hosting its inaugural Harlem Renaissance Fair on Friday, Feb. 19 from 6 – 11 p.m. at Northern Virginia Community College’s Richard J. Ernst Cultural Center, located at 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale.

In an evening of Jazz, dance, poetry and displays, The Thad Wilson Jazz Orchestra featuring Sharon Clark on vocals and Johnny O’Neal on piano will headline the festival celebrating the legendary era in black history.

There will also be living history vignettes, Harlem Renaissance exhibits and hor d’oeuvres provided by Margaret’s Soul Food at the fair. Also, David Mills will perform a one-man play based on the life and poetry of Langston Hughes. Attendees are encouraged to wear attire from the Harlem Renaissance era.
